By drawing on chapters from experts in multiple disciplines, this book will focus on ethical, religious, economic, psychological, and political arguments for cannabis policies that range from prohibition, to supervised medical use, to unrestricted legalisation. Several authors weigh costs and benefits in their evaluations of policy. Others focus on moral arguments that they claim transcend standard cost and benefit analyses. Additional chapters provide new perspectives on issues that may contribute to cost/benefit analyses or moral arguments. Each presents a unique perspective on overlapping issues, demonstrating how recognised experts can examine the same data and come to markedly different conclusions.
